HCAL-700.
Compact volt/mA process calibrator that measures and generates 0-24 mA DC current loops and 0-20 V DC voltage, making it ideal for calibrating transmitters, indicators and PLC/DCS I/O.
The HCAL-700 is a compact volt/mA process calibrator that measures and generates 0-24 mA DC current loops and 0-20 V DC voltage, making it ideal for calibrating transmitters, indicators and PLC/DCS I/O.
With high accuracy (up to 0.015%), integrated 24 V loop power and a large 5 digit LCD, it provides a practical, field ready solution for process technicians.
Features
- Measures and sources 0-24 mA DC loop current (cannot measure and source simultaneously)
- Measures and sources DC voltage: 0-100.00 mV and 0-20.000 V
- Provides 24 V loop power for driving 2 wire transmitters during calibration
- High accuracy: up to ±0.015% of reading for mA, and typically ±(0.02% + 3 counts) for voltage ranges
- Percentage display mode for current (0-100% where 4 mA = 0%, 20 mA = 100%)
- Large dual 5 digit LCD (about 64 x 42 mm) for clear reading of source/measure values
- Auto power off (around 30 minutes, adjustable or disabled) and low battery indication
- Over voltage protection up to 30 V and fuse protection (fast acting 125 mA / 250 V)
- Powered by 6 x AAA batteries (not supplied)
- External power supply jack (power supply available separately)
- Supplied with test leads, crocodile clips, user manual and soft carry case
Typical applications
- Calibration and verification of 4-20 mA transmitters, indicators and positioners
- Testing and adjusting analogue input and output channels on PLC and DCS systems
- Providing a stable mA or voltage source for bench testing panel meters and process instruments
- General loop checking, commissioning and troubleshooting in industrial process plants
